Sens Power Not Enough to Stop Tribe - Indians WIn 9-5

Early Wynn connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI and he completed the game without help from the bullpen at Municipal Stadium as the Cleveland Indians beat the Washington Senators by the count of 9 to 5. In the bottom of the 6th inning Cleveland scored 4 runs when they had 4 base hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Larry Doby who thrilled the crowd when he banged out a single which was good for two runs. Cleveland finished with 15 hits in the victory. The win went to Wynn(17-2) who allowed 5 runs in the game. Sid Hudson(9-9) was charged with the loss. He was touched for 13 hits and 6 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
