Cleveland Indians by a score of 9 to 1.

Kokos provided much of the offense. He lashed a single in the 3rd inning,
popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 1st of the season) in the 4th
inning and tripled scoring a run in the 6th inning. St. Louis had a total of
13 hits for the game.

Garver(1-1), allowing 1 run for the game, picked up the victory. Sam
Zoldak(0-1) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 3 and
2/3 innings of work.

Browns Drop Tribe 7-5 in Game 1

Bob Lemon pitched 2 bad innings which led to a 7-5 loss. A 5 run Browns 2nd innning was erased by a Luke Easter Grand Slam home run in the top of the 7th. In the bottom of the inning Lemon again found trouble and the Browns scored twice.
