In a tight game it was the St. Louis Browns 7, the Cleveland Indians 5 at
Sportsman's Park.
St. Louis jumped on top of Cleveland in the 7th inning scoring 2 runners on 1
hit. The crucial at-bat was provided by Roy Sievers who made the St. Louis
fans a happy lot when he doubled bringing in two baserunners. Both teams
ended up with 9 hits on the afternoon.
The win was credited to Tom Ferrick(1-0) who went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing 1
