inning, blasted a two-run home run (his 10th of the season) in the 7th inning
and laced a one-base hit in the 9th inning. Boston managed 11 hits in their
victory.

Bob Lemon pitched a complete game as the Cleveland Indians topped the Boston
Red Sox by a score of 7 to 4 at Municipal Stadium.

Cleveland won the game with a rally in the 8th inning when they tallied 5 runs
on 2 hits. The highlight belonged to Ray Murray who made the crowd happy
when he laced a base-knock which was good for two runs. Cleveland managed
only 4 hits on the night.

Lemon(4-3) got the victory, allowing 4 runs for the game. Chuck Stobbs(3-2)
was the loser. It was another victory for Cleveland at Municipal Stadium.
Now their winning streak stands at 6 games. Lou Boudreau held court after the
contest, 'Everything is coming up aces right now. It is important for our
team to ride this wave as long as we can. Every win is important.'
