Tribe Rally in 9th, Beat Tigers 5-4

Right fielder Bob Kennedy had 3 base hits as the Cleveland Indians won in dramatic fashion over the Detroit Tigers by a score of 5 to 4 at Municipal Stadium. Cleveland won the game with a rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs using 3 hits. Allie Clark kicked off the action when he hit a single. Bobby Avila next to the plate and he tripled. Kennedy then delivered a single. Cleveland banged out 12 hits on the night. Sam Zoldak(3-2) was the winner allowing 1 run in 2 innings. Hal Newhouser(5-4) was hit with the loss. He was knocked around by Cleveland, allowing 12 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.
