Feller Stumps Yanks 6-2

Bob Feller delivered 9 solid innings as the Cleveland Indians beat the New York Yankees by a score of 6 to 2. Cleveland took the lead for keeps in the 2nd inning with 2 runs on 3 hits. After two outs Lou Boudreau started the attack as he doubled. Joe Gordon next to the plate and he blasted a two-run home run (his 6th of the season). Cleveland banged out 12 hits on the night. Feller(5-4) allowed 2 runs on the game. Allie Reynolds(3-4) took the loss. He was unable to control the Cleveland offense and allowed 12 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings.
