Indians Take Down Red Sox 7-6

Early Wynn completed the game without help from the bullpen as the incredible Cleveland Indians outscored the Boston Red Sox in 11 innings 7 to 6. The score was knotted at 5 after nine innings. Cleveland came out the victor in the 11th inning. Lou Boudreau got things going when he doubled. Larry Doby stepped up to the plate and he popped a two-run clout over the fence resulting in an exciting win for Cleveland and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. Cleveland had a total of 10 hits for the game. The victory was credited to Wynn(16-2) who went the distance, allowing 6 runs. Dick Littlefield(1-3) was charged with the loss in relief. He was unable to retire a batter allowing 2 hits and no walks. The winning ways continue for Cleveland. They now have a record of 8-2 in recent days. With the loss Boston now has a record of 59-35.
